This course is designed to provide a refresher, or introduction, to some of the basic Life Saving Equipment found on board a vessel. While not covering all equuipment, it does cover the main pieces of LSA used by individuals to assist in emergencies.

Information on where the LSA can be found, how to wear the appliance (if applicable) and how to operate the equipment.

At the end of this course you will have a solid understanding of what lifesaving appliances are and how they are used.

Learning Outcomes:Upon successful completion of this training, participants will:
1. Know the main components that make up Life Saving Appliances on a ship.
2. Understand how to don LSA that is worn by an individual.
3. Be able to identify where LSA equipmen is located on a vessel.
4. Understand the operation of some of the LSA equipment.
Assessment:An assessment will be provided at the end of the course (fully online), you will have unlimited attempts to achieve the 100% pass mark.
