The liferaft design and features course can be used either as an introduction to liferafts on board vessels, or as a refresher for people already working on vessels.

The course looks at the location and number of liferafts available on ships under SOLAS, and then steps through the different methods available for launching the liferaft from the vessel.

Details on how the liferafts are inflated, the equipment contained within the liferaft, and what occupants of the liferaft should do when abandoning a ship.

A demonstration on how to right a liferaft is also provided.

Learning Outcomes:Upon successful completion of this training, participants will:
1. Know the different types of liferaft luanching methods available.
2. Understand the procedures for launching a liferaft from a vessel.
3. Know the inflation mechanisms used in a liferaft.
4. Be able to recall the equipment available in a liferaft.
5. Be able to identify the procedures to be followed when in a liferaft.
Assessment:An assessment will be provided at the end of the course (fully online), you will have unlimited attempts to achieve the 100% pass mark.
