About the Centre for Maritime Simulation

Use one of the most advanced maritime simulators in the world to develop port infrastructure, learn to handle vessels, navigate ports, evaluate incidents and much more.

Our suite of simulation facilities are among the most advanced in the Southern Hemisphere and include a full mission bridge, tug cubicles, ship operation cubicles and a debriefing room.

AMC Search carries out all its port and vessel modelling in-house. So as well as access to our state-of-the-art simulator, capable of integrating training for ships, tugs and VTS operations, you’ll get the most responsive and flexible service possible.

Training

Our Maritime Simulation Centre meets the requirements of Section A–1/12 of the STCW78 Code, as amended, in full. It is used for training including:

We were impressed with the professionalism of the staff, and the ease that the Navy, AMC staff and design teams were able to work together. The report we got at the end was excellent and met all of our needs.

Commander Nick Tate, Navy Infrastructure Projects

It's always a pleasure watching professionals at work. I recently had the privilege of observing two experienced Toll Global Express Masters put our new 'virtual' Tasmanian Achiever II ship through a grueling two days of simulator testing. Special thanks to the hard work and dedication of the AMC Search Simulation team for bringing this project to fruition.

Scott Cameron, Manager Marine Assurance at Toll Global Express
