AMC Search is at the forefront of Autonomous Maritime Systems and is available for training, civilian and defence consultancy services and vessel charter. It also provides administrative support to the University of Tasmania's Autonomous Maritime Systems Laboratory for the provision of higher education and research.

AMC Search provides this work by providing commercial access to the expertise and Autonomous Maritime Systems based at the Australian Maritime College which includes Hydroid Remus 100, ISE Explorer Class AUV and a number of small ROVs. 

The Autonomous Maritime Systems section is run by a team of global experts in AUV engineering, research and defence and is structured under three key areas:

  • Introductory to advanced Autonomous Maritime Systems training including, AMS fundamentals, AUV Basic Operations operations, AUV Technical Application and AUV Mission Controller courses
  • Commercial consultancy services including vessel chartering, hydrographic survey, underwater inspections and data collection
  • Higher education courses and research projects that are coordinated through the specialist Autonomous Maritime Systems Laboratory, a facility at the cutting edge of research using AMS technologies
