This course looks at the features of a lifeboat that are designed to preserve lives should they need to be used in an emergency. Starting with the stability of the lifeboat, then covering the requirements for engines, release systems, access and fire suppression.

Learning Outcomes:Upon successful completion of this training, participants will:
1. Be able to identify the design features of a lifeboat.
2. Understand the features that are designed to preserve lift.
3. Know the stability requirements of lifeboats.
4. Be able to differentiate the features for a partially enclosed lifeboat from a totally enclosed lifeboat.
Assessment:An assessment will be provided at the end of the course (fully online), you will have unlimited attempts to achieve the 100% pass mark.
