Online Training Support for the Maritime Tanker Industry

AMSA Approved Online Maritime Tanker Familiarisation Courses Released by AMC Search

July 06, 2021

In an Australian first, AMC Search has released AMSA approved maritime tanker familiarisation training courses that are delivered 100% online, including the assessment.

The two courses are Tanker Familiarisation (Oil and Chemical) and Tanker Familiarisation (Liquified Gas).

“Using 3D animations, simplified gamification teaching techniques, videos and browser lockdown technologies for secure assessments, the courses allow seafarers to undertake training in their own time from anywhere in the world, instead of having to travel to a training centre for 2 days of classroom-based learning” said Anita Robson, Manager of Training at AMC Search.

“Seafarers spend significant time away from their family and friends so any additional support that the training sector can provide for them to train from their home base is a genuine advantage.”

“The two courses are engaging and present information with graphics and videos to keep students interested.”

“And for the next two months, we are offering a 20% discount on both courses to help the tanker industry crew their ships with well-trained personnel that is experiencing a snap back in demand after the significant downturn during 2020” concluded Ms. Robson.

The two courses are approved by AMSA, and certificates are accepted by all major flags including Panama, Marshall Islands, Honk Kong, Singapore, and Liberia.

And don't just take our word for it, one of the first seafarers to undertake the course said:

"The course was great. I wish all our courses were set up like that. Great information and it kept me interested with the graphics and vessel videos."
