Tanker: Advanced Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations

Course also known as:Gas Tanker

Provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to undertake safe, pollution-free liquefied gas handling and transportation, and also supervise and train personnel involved in operations procedures.

Course Entry prerequisite

Please note the prerequisite is for entry onto the course and evidence must be provided at enrollment point of the following:

  • Australian issued Advanced Fire Prevention Certificate and a Australian issued Gas Tanker Familiarisation Certificate; or
  • A Certificate of Competency which is, or has been, Gas Tanker endorsed.

Certification

The following certificate will be issued by AMC to participants who successfully complete the course:

  • Advanced Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations (AMSA approved), meeting the requirements of STCW Reg V/1-2 and Code Section A-V/1-2, paragraph 2, Table A-V/1-2-1

Full attendance and participation in ALL activities during the course will satisfy the required performance criteria.

AMSA approved, in accordance with Marine Order 70 (Seafarer Certification) 2014.
