Crowd Management Online

Crowd Management Training and Safety Training Online provides participants with the skills to be able to control a crowd in an emergency situation on board, locate essential safety and emergency equipment on board, communicate effectively with passengers during an emergency, demonstrate the use of personal life-saving appliances and comply with the ship’s safety and emergency procedures.

Who should participate?

Personnel providing direct services to passengers in passenger spaces. In Australia, an AMSA-approved Crowd Management certificate is required by all Masters, Officers, Ratings and other personnel serving on board passenger ships engaged on international voyages.

Equipment Required

Crowd Management Online is provided using the University of Tasmania’s online learning environment, MyLO. Please check your browser is set up to use MyLO: Browser information.

Certification

The following certificate will be issued by AMC to participants who successfully complete the course:

  • Passenger Ship Safety – Crowd management training & Safety training for personnel providing direct service to passengers in passenger spaces, meeting the requirements of STCW Reg V/2 and Code Section A-V/2, para 2 and 3, Table A-V/2-1

AMSA approved, and in accordance with Marine Order 70 (Seafarer Certification) 2014.
