AMCS signs MOU with Philippine based Oceanwide Maritime Services

​An MOU has been signed during a virtual Zoom meeting between AMC Search, the training and consultancy division of the Australian Maritime College and Oceanwide Maritime Services Corp., the Cebu based seafarer training provider.

The MOU is the basis of a collaboration between AMC Search and Oceanwide Maritime Services Corp. that will see the two organisations collaborate in the delivery of internationally compliant online training solutions for the Filipino seafaring industry.

AMC Search was an early adopter of developing online training solutions for the maritime industry and has expertise in the delivery of online courses that use interactive 3D animations and gamification teaching techniques that makes training outcomes as good as traditional classroom-based learning.

Many AMC Search online training courses have been approved by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority as being compliant with the training requirements set by international conventions.

“This advanced expertise in the delivery of online training for seafarers is what attracted Oceanwide to work with AMC Search” said Capt. Gregory Nick Sevilla, Chairman/CEO of Oceanwide.

Key areas that will be the focus of the partnership includes STCW and non-STCW online training courses, with the first courses planned to be ready for enrolments within the next couple of months.
