This course provides students with an understanding of how a fire spreads, specifically related to on board a ship.

The different principles of how fire is spread are demonstrated, along with hazards associated with fire than can assist in the spread of fire. You will also be able to identf the different methods of restricting a fire, as it relates to a ship.

Lastly, a review of the fire protection bulkheads used to stop the spread of fire on a ship are discussed.
