This course will introduce the tetrahedron of fire and set out how knowledge of the tetrahedron can assist in how to extinguish fires. You will learn how the chemical process of fire starts, how fire evolves and then the methods available to extinguish a fire.

Practical demonstration is provided on definitions related to when something is able to start a fire, as well as the application of different fire fighting techniques available.

Learning Outcomes:Upon successful completion of this training, participants will:
1. Know the parts of the tetrahedron of fire.
2. Understand how the knowledge of the tetrahedron of fire can be used to extinguish fire 3. Be able to apply different fire extinguishing techniques.
4. Know the different definitions of when fire commences.
Assessment:An assessment will be provided at the end of the course (fully online), you will have unlimited attempts to achieve the 100% pass mark.
