This course is designed to provide students with in depth knowledge of mooring operations. It is aimed at the supervisor level, or those aspiring to be supervisors of mooring operations. Students will be provided with additional information in respect to the management to risks around mooring operations, how to manage a mooring team. The course then steps through the different phases of the mooring operation, from pre berthing inspection, to mooring, while alongside and then letting go, assessing each operations and the risks associated with that operation.

Manage and communicate with your mooring team effectively, using both verbal and non-verbal methods such as hand signals. 4. Ensure safe line handling practices are followed by all members of your team. 5. Identify and control risks that can lead to unsafe conditions or line failures. |
