International Safety Management (ISM) Internal Auditors Course Online

International Safety Management (ISM) Internal Auditors Course online is designed to provide participants with the knowledge necessary to conduct ISM internal audits and to understand the strengths and weaknesses of auditing and their role in a safety management system.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the principles underlying the development and implementation of safety management systems
  • Explain the key elements of the ISM Code
  • Identify the difference between a good and a poor audit
  • Produce an example of your own ISM Internal Audit

Equipment Required

ISM Internal Auditors course is provided using the University of Tasmania’s online learning environment, MyLO.

Participants will have a month from the date of receiving log on information to complete the course.

The course schedule is organised into three stages:

  1. First two weeks are allocated for completion of the online MyLO materials
  2. One further week for the completion of the assignment
  3. Final week is allocated for feedback and any necessary revisions

Enrolment Information

Intake periods for the course will be the first day of each month. Log on information will be sent to students on the first day of the next month following enrolment. For example, if you enrol on the 14th January, you will be sent your course information on the 1st February.
