Full steam ahead for Online Training Partnership

AMC Search is pleased to announce a partnership agreement has been reached with Oceanwide Maritime Services Corp in the production of online training courses for the Filipino seafarer market.

Oceanwide maritime are a Cebu based maritime training provider that specialises in the delivery of classroom based seafarer training in the Philippines. 

AMC Search, the training and consultancy division of the Australian Maritime College are Australia's premier provider of maritime short courses and it has invested in a Digital Services division focused on the production and delivery of online STCW and professional development courses. 

Partnering with AMC Search enables Oceanwide to rapidly expand their online training services for their Filipino seafaring community, whilst for AMC Search, it allows it to produce courses for an organisation that will deliver training to the world's largest seafarer community.

The digital transformation of the maritime industry provides significant opportunity for e-learning providers, and this agreement will help ensure seafarers from the Philippines receive short courses that leverage from the technical and content expertise from both organisations.  

The first two online STCW courses to be developed under the terms of the partnership are Seafarers with Designated Security Duties with Security Awareness Training and Ship Security Officers.
