Project: fleet safety culture and safety management system review

CLS Ships contracted AMCS to conduct a review of its fleet safety culture and safety management system.

Safety management consultant Associate Professor Ben Brooks conducted a psychometric safety survey to provide CSL Ships with a baseline of all aspects of safety culture and safety management.

Once complete, a report was provided to the client that included recommendations for strengthening both safety management and culture.

Brooks conducted a modified ISM compliance audit for each CSL Ships vessel to determine current effectiveness of risk management practices and identify opportunities for improvement.

He also led workshops for safety leaders focused on achieving new levels of safety performance and establishing standards of performance.
