In order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health and safety of our trainees and staff, AMC Search (AMCS) is postponing all face-to-face training courses effective Monday March 23, 2020.
If you are booked onto a face-to-face course, you will receive a message directly from us, outlining next steps.
If you need to book face-to-face training, please visit our training page, find the course you need and wait list yourself for the course you want to undertake. No fees will be required at the time of booking, but it will secure your place for when the campus is ready for face-to-face training and demand for training ramps back up. We envisage a significant surge in demand so please get yourself on the wait list as soon as possible.
We have been in close contact with AMSA who have approved the temporary postponement of maritime training and are using the provision contained within Marine Order 70 section 15 to extend seafarer certificates for up to six months. AMSA will do this if satisfied that the person does not meet revalidation requirements due to circumstances beyond their control due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please visit the AMSA website for instructions on how to apply for an extension.
PLEASE NOTE: AMCS IS STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS AND ALL ONLINE TRAINING COURSES ARE RUNNING AS NORMAL.
SOME COURSES CAN ALSO BE ADAPTED TO ONLINE DELIVERY AT SHORT NOTICE SO PLEASE CALL 03 63249852 TO DISCUSS YOUR TRAINING REQUIREMENTS.
As you can appreciate, this is an unprecedented event, and we at AMCS want to make sure our trainees and staff are kept safe and that we do our bit for Australia and the global maritime community to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
