This course provides students with an overview of the requirements for the management of oil waste, garbage, and sewage on board. The requirements for the respective MARPOL annexes are covered and discharge limits for each are explained. The response to oil spills on board and in the Australian coastal context is also covered.

This course has been designed as a refresher for seagoing personnel as well as for shore-based personnel with an interest to the MARPOL - Pollution Prevention.

Learning Outcomes:Upon successful completion of this training, participants will:
1. Understand the MARPOL convention and it's annexes
2. Know the procedures for preventing oil pollution during bunkering
3. Understand the limits on oil discharge from a vessels
4. Know the limits on garbage discharge from vessels
5. Understand the limits on sewage discharge from vessels
Assessment:An assessment will be provided at the end of the course (fully online), you will have unlimited attempts to achieve the 100% pass mark.

Face to face courses

Cancellations up to 15 working days prior to the scheduled date will be accepted without penalty. Cancellations less than 15 working days will be subject to 100% cancellation fee.

AMC Search reserves the right to cancel the course 15 working days prior to the scheduled date if insufficient registrations are received. Any fees paid for cancelled courses will be refunded in full.

Online courses

Payment of course fees, or authorisation to invoice from your company, is required before access to the online learning environment is provided.
