Head Security Officer

Course also known as: HSO

Qualifies participants for an appointed Head Security Officer role. This course meets the requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.


This course provides knowledge to those who may be required to perform the duties of a Head Security Officer with responsibility for conducting a security assessment and developing and implementing the security plan.

The course meets the requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, which was developed by the IMO to apply to Ships and Port facilities all over the world.

Australian and international participants who wish to work as appointed head security officer.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete this course will be eligible to receive an Australian Maritime College Certificate in Head Security Officer (HSO).
