Chemical Handling for Offshore Vessels (Online)

This course provides personnel working on offshore vessels with an understanding of the requirements for the safe carriage and handling of chemicals. It covers the relevant regulatory requirements, chemical containment systems, and the procedures and precautions associated with loading, transfer, carriage and discharge. Participants will also develop an understanding of chemical hazards and the use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to support safe operations and emergency response.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete this course will be eligible to receive an Australian Maritime College Certificate in Chemical Handling for Offshore Vessels.

Equipment Required

Chemical Handling for Offshore Vessels online is provided using our online learning environment, aXcelerate student portal. The course involves the viewing of multiple videos, which require a reasonable internet connection speed. Certain components will need to be completed on a desktop/laptop computer, and we suggest using Google Chrome as your browser.
