Principles of AMS (PAMS) course combines face to face AMS theory with direct observation of practical deployment, operation and recovery of multiple Autonomous Marine Systems.
The program provides two days of face to face theory providing an introduction to Autonomous Underwater Vehicle and Autonomous or Un-crewed Surface Vehicles technology, key terminology, operating concepts and system capabilities/limitations. Mixed in with theory delivery are two half day sessions offering direct observation of practical deployment, operation and recovery of multiple Autonomous Maritime Systems. With adequate notice content can be tailored to meet the specific needs of groups undertaking this course.
Designed for personnel who need to start building their knowledge of Autonomous Maritime Systems, ie both AUVs and USVs. It is ideally suited to individuals who need an understanding of Autonomous Maritime Systems, but at this stage of their careers do not need to directly operate them.
The course is delivered through to face theory and practical exercises followed by question and answer sessions to provide candidates with optimal learning outcomes.
No prerequisite training is required.
Participants who successfully complete this course will be eligible to receive an Australian Maritime College Certificate in the Principles of Autonomous Maritime Systems (PAMS).
