DPA training now available by remote delivery

Designate Person Ashore training is now available by remote delivery!

May 26, 2020

In response to border closures, and to help ensure the ongoing safety of mariners, AMC Search is now accepting expressions of interest from people to participate in remotely delivered Designated Person Ashore training.

Delivered by AMC Search lecturer Captain Richard Dunham, the course is delivered by live remote delivery over 2-days.

The course follows the IMO guidance on the qualifications, training and experience necessary for undertaking the role of Designated Person Ashore, and is designed both for those working for companies trading internationally and for those operating Domestic Commercial Vessels.

The training is interactive with activities, discussions, case studies and reporting, and with limited numbers available on each course, trainees receive a personal learning experience.

Reliable internet connectivity is essential, and dates will be confirmed once expressions of interest have been received.

Participants who successfully complete this course will receive an Australian Maritime College Certificate in Designated Person Ashore Training.

The 2-day course costs just A$1800 and to register your interest, please email amc.courses@utas.edu.au.
