Goodbye to Deputy CEO, Cathy Wilson
After an incredible 18 years with AMC Search, our Deputy CEO, Cathy Wilson, is leaving on 25 August.
Cathy’s vision and work ethic have been fundamental to the growth of AMCS, said CEO, Dean Cook.
“When Cathy joined the company in 1999 we had under 15 short courses; today, we offer over 70.
“This incredible growth is testament to her contribution and she will be sorely missed.”
In particular, Cathy led the development of AMC Search’s online courses. These allow students all over the world to certify, qualify and train at their own pace.
Cathy said that the highlight of her career has been working with the people in the maritime industry.
“The Australian maritime industry has the most loyal, diverse and extremely passionate people, and it’s been an absolute privilege to have met so many of them,” Cathy said.
“I’ve had the most fabulous job working with these people in relation to training needs, and they are responsible for the incredible success AMCS has enjoyed, together with the dedicated and devoted AMCS team.
“I will miss this environment dearly, but look forward to my next exciting venture.”
A significant part of Cathy’s role as Deputy CEO was providing training solutions to the maritime industry. This responsibility is now with Emilie Donovan, Manager – Training.
Emilie can be contacted on +61 3 6324 9852 or by email: E.Donovan@amc.edu.au
