The LNG Loadmaster Simulation Training is fully portable and can be set-up for delivery on client premises.The training has been designed in conjunction with the OCIMF Marine and Terminal Operator Competence Training Guide.
The course is conducted over three days, and is delivered through a mixture of lectures, group discussions, case studies and exercises conducted on a Kongsberg Liquid Cargo Handling Loading simulator.
LNG Loadmaster provides training in LNG loading operations for the following roles:
This course is intended for individuals who will be filling the position of terminal representative on loading LNG vessels. It is designed to assist mariners in understanding the shore-side operations of loading and, conversely, assist shore-side personnel in understanding the ship operations throughout the loading.
The simulator is a vessel based simulator designed to show the full extent of operations undertaken aboard ship during the load process. Interaction with shore representatives is provided for to ensure that the system functions as would be expected in a real-world situation. The simulation component of the course will be conducted on a Kongsberg Liquid Cargo Handling Loading simulator. The simulator is approved by Det Norske Veritas as meeting the compliance requirements of Standard for Certification No. 3.302. The course is conducted by Chris McGuire. Chris has an extensive maritime background, including maritime education design and development, ship inspections, market research and maritime human resources. Chris developed and delivered the LNG Mooring Operations training to the LNG facilities on Curtis Island. David Kenny: Dave is a Loadmaster, and has extensive experience onboard LNG tankers. Dave has provided the technical and operational expertise to the development of the Loadmaster course.
