Lloyd’s Register Course

AMC Search has partnered with Lloyd’s Register (LR) to become the Australian provider for various LR marine and shipping training products. LR is a leading international provider of classification, compliance and consultancy services to the marine and offshore industries, helping our clients design, construct and operate their assets to the highest levels of safety and performance.

This course will benefit anyone wishing to gain a solid understanding of the role, workings and requirements of a classification society and its interface with IMO when applying statutory regulations on behalf of flag administrations.

  • Understand what classification means and the associated requirements for shipowners, builders and managers
  • Appreciate the mechanics of how classification works, plus the roles of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) and the International Marine Organisation (IMO)
  • Understand the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and shipboard quality management systems
  • Gain confidence when working with port state control, flag administration and vetting officials

  • ILO MLC (2006)

Approval + certification
