Due to the uncertainty that has been caused by COVID-19, and in line with the advice from the International Maritime Organization (IMO), AMSA have approved extending STCW certificates by six months. AMSA will do this if satisfied that the person does not meet revalidation requirements due to circumstances beyond their control due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please visit the AMSA website for advice on how to apply for an extension.
I live in Western Australia however have always travel to the AMC, Launceston to revalidate my CoC due to the professionalism of the AMC Search team, the course material and the Lecturers relevant knowledge of all the subjects. The accommodation and the on campus eating venue are convenient and well-staffed and the simulator centre is excellent. Thank you AMC Search.
