Course Entry Prerequisites
Please note the following prerequisite is for entry onto the course and evidence must be provided at enrolment point of the following:
- AMSA issued Integrated Rating Certificate of Proficiency.

Acknowledgement of registration will be provided by return email. Confirmation of registration is provided upon payment of the course fees, and subject to AMCS Registration Terms.

AMCS Registration Terms
To secure your enrolment, payment of 50% of the course fee is required. Cancellations up to 15 working days prior to the scheduled date will be accepted without penalty. Cancellations less than 15 working days will be subject to 100% cancellation fee.
AMCS reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been received by seven days from commencement of course. Any fees paid for cancelled courses will be refunded in full.
When making flight bookings please ensure you book on a fully refundable basis.
The Chief Integrated Rating course incorporates the Advanced Fire Fighting training and is AMSA approved as meeting the requirement of Marine Orders, Part 73.
The following certificates will be issued by AMC to participants who successfully complete the course and provide documentary evidence to satisfy the course pre-requisite:
- Chief Integrated Rating (AMSA approved), meeting the requirements of STCW Reg II/4 and III/4 and Code Sections A-II/4 and A-III/4, Tables A-II/4 and III/4
- Advanced Fire (AMSA approved) meeting the requirements of STCW Reg VI/3 and Code Section A-VI/3, Table A-VI/3
- Sea Survival Continued Competence for Personal Survival Techniques – STCW Table A-VI/1-1 and Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats – STCW Table A-VI/2-1.
100% attendance, full participation and completion of all practical exercises is required in order to successfully complete the course and qualify for the issue of the course Certificates.

AMSA eligibility requirements, a person must:
(a) hold a certificate of proficiency as Integrated Rating; and
(b) have completed at least 24 months documented qualifying seagoing service as a qualified integrated rating.
The course is conducted at the Australian Maritime College, Newnham Campus in Launceston Tasmania
Participants arriving at Launceston Airport should make their way to the Australian Maritime College, Newnham Drive, Newnham. Taxi fare from the airport is approximately $55.00.
Parking: Complimentary car parking is provided on campus in areas designated to AMCS participants and clients.

To secure a course registration, payment of the course fee are required (or at minimum of 50% deposit). Payment methods accepted:
