Fire Fighting - Methanol Strategies and Tactics

Provides an understanding and appreciation of the hazardous nature of methanol. The course is flexible and can be tailored to meet your specific requirements.

Participants are taken through an extensive theory based session around what makes this material different from any other on board materials, the uniqueness of this material and what are the potential exposure risks for crew members.

The theory is supported by practical application utilising the various live fire training equipment to create fires that can be attacked allowing participants to experience a variety of equipment. The practical training will provide participants a firsthand understanding the different operational tactics and techniques that can be used to assist dealing with these types of unique emergencies.

The following certificate will be issued by AMC to participants who successfully complete the course:

100% attendance, full participation and completion of all practical exercises is required in order to successfully complete the course and qualify for the issue of the course certificate.
