The second International Conference on Maritime Autonomy and Remote Navigation (ICMAR Nav) will take place from 267-28 November 2024 at Hotel Grand Chancellor, in Launceston, Tasmania.

The Australian Maritime College and AMC Search are excited to announce the 2nd International Conference on Maritime Autonomy and Remote Navigation in November 2024. Addressing the theme ‘Striving for Safer Operations through Risk Mitigation’ the conference program is meticulously designed to foster discussions on breakthroughs, challenges, and evolution of autonomous systems within the maritime industry.


The rapidly expanding autonomous and remotely navigated shipping sector has witnessed substantial growth, with numerous trials conducted on commercial vessels. A spectrum of concepts and applications for maritime autonomy is being explored, offering substantial benefits to the industry. These range from innovative smart bridges to unmanned bridges operated seamlessly from remote operation centres, all with a primary focus on enhancing safety, only possible through rigorous risk mitigation strategies.


Located in Launceston, Tasmania, attendees can see autonomous navigation software in action in our full mission bridge simulators and participate in technical tours relevant to the conference.


There will be two social networking functions at prominent local venues. You will
mingle with leaders in maritime autonomy and other stakeholders in a relaxed
atmosphere.


Leading maritime industry manufacturers and suppliers will be invited to showcase their latest products and services in the onsite conference tradeshow.
