V-103/2: VTS Supervisor Training
Participants must hold, and present upon enrolment, an IALA approved V-103/1 Vessel Traffic Services Basic Training Certificate.

As part of the VTS Supervisor course, participants will be required to prepare a RPL portfolio during the course, which will comprise part of the evaluation of Module 5 – Preparation of Reports 3. It constitutes a direct link between each individual’s training and experience to the objectives of the course.
In order to do this, participants are advised that they must bring the following documentation with them to the course:
- Job description (electronic format if possible)
- Up-to-date Resume or c.v.
- Description/narrative of personal experience related to: marine / job related projects, marine /job related committees
- Copies of certificates/awards related to marine activities or responsibilities or personal development courses
- Description of own port VTS / LPS

AMCS Registration Terms
To secure your enrolment, payment of 50% of the course fee is required. Cancellations up to 15 working days prior to the scheduled date will be accepted without penalty. Cancellations less than 15 working days will be subject to 100% cancellation fee.
AMCS reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been received by seven days from commencement of course. Any fees paid for cancelled courses will be refunded in full.

This course meets the requirements of IALA Model Course V-103/2 and covers the knowledge and practical competencies required in order to gain endorsement as a VTS Supervisor.
Upon successful completion of this phase, participants will be awarded with an IALA approved V-103/2 Vessel Traffic Services Operator Supervisor certificate.
Full attendance and participation in ALL activities during the course will satisfy the required performance criteria.
The course is conducted at the Australian Maritime College, Newnham Campus in Launceston Tasmania
Participants arriving at Launceston Airport should make their way to the Australian Maritime College, Newnham Drive, Newnham. Taxi fare from the airport is approximately $55.00.
Parking: Complimentary car parking is provided on campus in areas designated to AMCS participants and clients.
