Online Training Expansion
AMCS are pleased to announce new online courses have been developed, taking the total of online courses to 6.
Designated Security Duties
The course is designed for seafarers who are designated to perform security duties, including anti-piracy and anti-armed-robbery-related activities.
The course is approved by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) as meeting the requirements of STCW Reg VI/6 and Code Section A-VI/6 paragraph 8, Table A-VI/6-2.

MARA007 Contribute to safe cargo operations on offshore support vessels
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to undertake a range of offshore activities on board an offshore support vessel (OSV). It includes deck preparation, transfer of deck cargoes, bulk cargo operations and operations with deck equipment within the limits of responsibility of an integrated rating and under the direction of the officer in charge or Master.
This unit applies to Integrated Ratings working in the offshore maritime industry assigned to specific activities and responsibilities.
The online training includes interactive components developed as eModlets. eModlets provide totally unique 3D and 2D learning experiences. An example eModlet can be viewed here.
