The dynamic Tasmanian shipbuilder Incat goes from strength to strength, and one of its many recent success stories was delivery of the 112 metre luxury high speed passenger vessel Natchan Rera.

AMC Search has had a long association with Incat, and as with earlier vessel handovers the two organisations collaborated to deliver training for officers and crew in accordance with the IMO's High Speed Craft Code, as part of the handover of Natchan Rera.

Led by Incat's Captain Mike Jackson (formerly of AMC Search), a program of High Speed Navigation was provided for officers, and High Speed Safety and High Speed Safety Systems for all crew members.

AMC's Matt Best worked with Mike to deliver the High Speed Navigation in AMC's Integrated Marine Simulator, with great success, and AMC post graduate student Shinseki Matsabara supported the team by ensuring no communication problems arose due to language difficulties.
