AMC's Integrated Marine Simulator (IMS) had its busiest year in 2007 since commercial simulation work commenced in 1985.
Several new ship models have been compiled in recent months, new area models developed, and clients attending simulation studies and training sessions in the IMS have come from all states of Australia, as well as New Zealand, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Qatar and USA (Hawaii).
The new year has started where 2007 left off, and in addition to this demanding workload, the IMS team, led by Manager, Captain Ian Rodrigues, is overseeing a major multi-million dollar upgrade of the IMS.
To assist meet the demand, AMC is to appoint an additional Instructor to join Ian and his team in the IMS, and a short list of potential candidates will be interviewed within the next couple of weeks.
