AMC's training and research vessel, Bluefin has just completed a slipping in Launceston which included an overhaul of her hull, shaft, propeller and bow thruster. The 34.5 metre Bluefin has good accommodation for 19 passengers and crew, an unusually large bridge area, a spacious working deck, good winching capability, a controllable pitch propeller, and scientific echo sounder and 3D bottom mapping profiler - all of which make her a useful platform for offshore survey work and scientific research.

Bluefin's hull was thoroughly refurbished and repainted during recent slipping
