27/5/05: Extra ISPS Code Course Scheduled
A combined ISPS Code Ship/Company and Port/Port Facility Security Officer Course has been confirmed for 5-7 July 2005.
The course will be held at the Australian Maritime College.

The Revalidation Deck Course scheduled for 7-18 November is now fully booked, with a waitlist only available.
To cater for demand, an additional course has been scheduled for 21 November - 2 December.

If you require an AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority) issued 'Sea Safety Certificate' (sometimes knows as STCW ), you will need to complete the above courses. To view further information please refer to Sea Safety Training.
To enrol on the above courses, please fill in an online enrolment.
Payment of the course fees will be requested once the courses are confirmed.
Large Tonnage Vessels Upgrade Course
A new short course will be conducted at AMC during 5 - 7 April, 2005, for holders of Master or Chief Mate < 3000 GT Certificates who wish to upgrade to Chief Mate > 3000 GT, and who have the requisite qualifying sea service.
AMSA has approved the course as complying with Marine Orders Part 3, Issue 6, Section 25.4.2 (b) (i), with the following content:
- Close quarter navigations
- Anchoring a large vessel
- Voyage planning for a large tonnage vessel
- Adverse weather considerations in the navigation and handling of a large tonnage vessel
- Navigation of a large tonnage vessel in restricted areas
Course fee: $1,300 plus GST
