International Safety Management (ISM) Internal Auditors Course

This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge necessary to conduct ISM internal audits and to understand the strengths and weaknesses of auditing and their role in a safety management system.

Payment of course fees, or authorisation to invoice from your company is required before your online account is created.  The online account creation process takes between 3-4 business days.

AMCS Registration Terms

To secure your enrolment, payment of 50% of the course fee is required.  Cancellations up to 15 working days prior to the scheduled date will be accepted without penalty.  Cancellations less than 15 working days will be subject to 100% cancellation fee.

AMCS reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been received by seven days from commencement of course.  Any fees paid for cancelled courses will be refunded in full.

Instructor

Associate Professor Ben Brooks is a Human Factors researcher at the Australian Maritime College.  Ben wrote his PhD on the development of safety culture in small commercial ships, he has been a safety manager in a large high risk organisation. He spends most of his time achieving safety and efficiency outcomes for high risk industries. He does this by designing and implementing training systems, technology, and systems of work for ports, shipping companies, emergency management agencies and land-based industries.

 

Delivery Strategy

The course will be delivered by classroom theory and practical sessions or online via the University of Tasmania e-learning platform MyLO.

Location Information

The course is conducted at the Australian Maritime College, Newnham Campus in Launceston Tasmania

Participants arriving at Launceston Airport should make their way to the Australian Maritime College, Newnham Drive, Newnham.  Taxi fare from the airport is approximately $55.00.

Parking:  Complimentary car parking is provided on campus in areas designated to AMCS participants and clients.
