AMC Search Ltd provides maritime training, consultancy and research services using the internationally renowned resources of AMC.

Undertaking training at AMC allows participants to meet counterparts from other areas of the industry, thus creating the opportunity to discuss industry trends and to establish networks.

AMC Search markets and administers short courses on behalf of AMC which retains academic control of all courses. AMC’s mandatory short courses meet the requirements of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) and comply with the International Maritime Organisation’s STCW1978 Convention (as amended).

AMC Search’s experience, knowledge, professionalism and expertise in the area of the provision of mandatory and specialised short courses is a result of nineteen years of observing and reacting to emerging maritime trends and changes.

Maritime Training Package

The University of Tasmania, trading as the Australian Maritime College (AMC) is a registered Training Organisation and has a partnership agreement with AMC Search Ltd.  This enables AMC to award Statements of Attainment within its scope of registration where short courses administered by AMC Search have been deemed equivalent to units of competency with the Maritime Training Package.   Throughout the programme, the equivalency has been identified and the unit title and codes from the Maritime Training Package indicated.  Units delivered under the Maritime Training Package are GST free.

Flexible Delivery

Where there is sufficient numbers of participants, many short courses can be conducted on demand, on client premises, interstate and internationally. AMC regularly conducts short courses in all states of Australia and in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and the Middle East. Accommodation

On-campus accommodation is available at Norfolk Hall, which offers motel-style rooms with queen or king size beds, television, fridge and ensuite bathroom facilities.

Rates are:  $80 per day

All meals are available in the AMC Cafeteria at economical prices.

This facility provides for course fees to be paid by a secure online transmission of your credit card details. Credit card payments are processed using eWAY Secure Online Payment technology. Mastercard, Amex, Diners and Visa are accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations up to 15 working days prior to the scheduled date will be accepted without penalty.  Cancellations less than 15 working days will be subject to 100% cancellation fee.

AMC Search reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been received by seven days from commencement of course.  Any fees paid for cancelled courses will be refunded in full. When making flight bookings please ensure you book on a fully refundable basis.
