Course Prerequisites
Candidates must possess an AMSA recognised Integrated Rating Certificate of Competency, and have completed 24 months qualifying sea service as integrated rating

The Chief Integrated Rating training programme has been designed to align to Marine Orders, Part 3. The aim of the course is to provide candidates with the skills and knowledge required to:
- Effectively undertake a supervisory role on board the vessel
- Respond effectively as a member of the on board fire fighting team, have knowledge of the fire fighting installations and appliances on board and familiarisation in the use of these appliances and personal apparatus
- Be familiar with routine ship maintenance practices, the safe storing and handling of corrosive compounds and have an understanding of on board inventory control of stores and spare parts
The course incorporates an Advanced Fire Fighting Course, and successful candidates are eligible for the issue of AMSA approved Chief Integrated Ratings and Advanced Fire Fighting Certificates.
Certificate
Upon successful completion, candidates will be issued:
AMSA approved AMC Certificate meeting the requirements of Table A- VI/3, STCW78 as amended
AMSA approved AMC Chief Integrated Rating Certificate
