Course Prerequisites

To be eligible for the issue of an AMSA approved certificate, candidates must:

  • hold an Australian issued Certificate of Competency; or
  • be 18 years of age and hold qualifying sea-time.  Candidates are advised to contact AMSA and request written verification to satisfy the qualifying sea-time prerequisite of this course

Course Aim

This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform survival craft operations as required during shipboard emergency response situations.

AMSA approved AMC CPSC Certificate meeting the requirements of Table A-VI/2-1, STCW78 as amended
