Course Aim

To familiarise participants with the handling characteristics of larger tonnage vessels and to instruct participants in, and access their competency, in the safe navigational management of larger tonnage vessels.  Participants will utilise the AMC’s Bridge Simulator.

Course Approval

This course complies with the requirements of Marine Orders, Part 3, Issue 6, 25.1.2(b)(i) and 25.4.2(b)(i) and is AMSA approved.


Certificate

An AMSA approved “Safe Navigational Management of Large Tonnage Vessels” certificate will be issued by AMC to participants who satisfactorily complete the course and provide documentary evidence to satisfy the course pre-requisite.
