AMCS Welcomes Bill Daniel to the Team

AMCS welcomes Bill Daniel to its expanding team.  Bill has taken the opportunity to work with AMCS in Tasmania as Dynamic Positioning Manager and Senior Maritime Instructor, departing New Zealand to do so.

Bill has vast sea experience; Master/Senior rank on multiple vessels types from SOLAS passenger, tween deckers, dredger, small bulk carriers to seismic survey.  More recently Bill was employed as a Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) in the Oil and Gas industry.

Ashore, Bill has had experience as a shipping line cargo Superintendent and Operations Manager, Publication Manager/Editor for the Australian Hydrographic Service and most recently a Harbourmaster for a dynamic bar bound river port.

As well as Bill’s extensive maritime history, he has graced the air as a casual commercial single engine aeroplane pilot, providing flights to Northern Territorial aboriginal communities and New Zealand Southern Alps tourists.

Bill has previously worked in Tasmania and is reacquainting himself with the landscape, looking forward to sharing the best sites with his wife and three teenage children when they join him later this year.
