2016 Short Course Programme

AMCS is proud to announce the release of the 2016 short course training programme, and welcomes industry input and feedback into courses offered and future course requirements.

2016 will be a critical year for the maritime industry as all serving and non-serving seafarers ensure AMSA qualifications, including those issued in perpetuity, are revalidated, prior to 1 January 2017.

To assist the industry to meet the revalidation requirements, AMCS has scheduled 120 Continued Competence refresher training courses and will schedule additional courses to meet demand.  In addition, the AMCS 2016 course schedule includes:

  • 336 scheduled course dates
  • 68 types of courses

The 2016 training programme is now available online at www.amcsearch.com.au. Please contact the Course Administration Manager, Estelle Hudson should you prefer a hard copy. Contact details:  Email: E.Hudson@amc.edu.au Phone: (03) 6324-9853.

Planned developments:
  • Tanker Familiarisation online
  • Designated Security Duties online
  • Medical Care Refresher

The expansion of industry specific courses and the ongoing development of new courses, including online options, is testament that AMCS continually strives to achieve its mission:
